What's your first musical memory?

My dad told me that I was always putting on Jimi Hendrix's Are You Experienced? but I don't really remember that. I do remember my first purchase: the Partridge Family's greatest hits. I got it for $3.99 at a failed chain of pre-Wal-Mart-type stores called Jamesway. God, I'm old.

    My first musical memory is listening to the song "Diana" by Paul Anka with my mom.

    First musical purchase? Yea okay, I have to admit it was an 8 track..."Bay City Rollers Greatest Hits."

    Musical memories that most shaped my present taste...hearing the albums "Chronic Town" by REM and Minor Threat's first album.

    First purchase - The Band's Last Waltz on double eight track.

    First music was the Beatles, Kingston Trio, Roger Miller.
