My shoes and I are off to Bouchercon.
Packing for this trip has made me grateful for:
- iPods
- very large suitcases
- The internet
- wine
- vitamins
- alarm clocks
Getting to Baltimore means seeing people I care for dearly and becoming, quickly, so over stimulated that I will be like the Energizer Bunny on crack when I make it back here.
Be safe, everyone. That is a bipartisan 'be safe.'
Enjoy Jen...but if you don't have that iPod loaded with Gram's 'Streets of Baltimore', well, I'd be lost for words. Be safe. Be with Gram.
ReplyDeleteIs there anything cooler than red shoes?
ReplyDeleteHave a good time. Be careful. Some of those writers get feisty when they drink.
ReplyDeleteWinning the "best anthology" award must have made the trip worthwhile all by itself. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteSee ya in a coupla hours!
ReplyDeleteI see you're wearing the ruby slippers. Good luck in Baltimore. I can't attend, so have a great time and tell us all about it when you return! And remember...there's no place like home.
ReplyDeleteDavid. some of those authors lose all directional ability, including 'up/down'. This is when political debates are at their most hilarious and line dancing can occur sans music.
ReplyDeleteBill, winning that award was scary, embarrassing and totally wonderful. My Dad is somewhere smiling and shaking his head in amusement.
ReplyDeleteDear Nathan,
ReplyDeleteLittle girls have the biggest mouths and their asses are always available for kicking.
Love,
Jen
Pat,
ReplyDeleteI can not and will not tell you all about because of national security issues.
And chardonnay issue.
But that was the best damned convention I've ever attended.
