WHOA! What a picture! ...and a beautiful bird. I took a class on raptor biology. Have no idea what kind of raptor, but it is a beautiful one. ^.^
I've been lucky enough to see bald eagles, four different hawks, a pair of nesting falcons, nesting great horned owls and an osprey in my backyard.Oh, and a tom turkey followed by a harem of five hens. He thought he was the king of glen!
Amazing photo! Did you take that one? We have a lot of eagles and hawks in Missouri, but I've never gotten a picture that close.
That's awesome you get so many birds in your backyard! ...great horned owls are evil though. When I was at the raptor center, they go for your face, and when they bite down, the don't let go!!!
