Thanks for the babble, Babs. You've put into words exactly what these people will be contending with beyond the loss of everything they owned and loved. Apathy and scorn.

Some of the people in the Lower 9th ward (the district that had the most flooding and was the poorest) are convinced the government blew up the levee so and let them get flooded so the French Quarter would be saved. Can you say disinfranchized. I'm sure these comments will make them feel much better
I couldn't believe that statement when I read it earlier. I suppose she may have the excuse of craziness right?
It is the excuse of not giving a flying fuck that comes to my mind.
The police ran through the streets screaming "Get out! We are going to blow the levee!" It was on CNN once, then nothin'. Did the hurricane come through on Mon., and the levee blow on Tues.? Not sure about that....
