There Have Been Some Weird Murder Cases - This is One of Them

Jeffrey A. Freeman, 44, was the definition of a cuckhold.

Unbeknownst to him, his very adulterous wife, Martha, allowed 35-year old Rafael DeJesus Rocha-Perez to move into a closet in the family home. Freeman heard the man snoring and ordered his wife to get the man out of the house. He then went on a walk, to clear his head and to give the man time to get out.

When he returned, Rocha-Perez confronted him with a shotgun, back Freeman into a bathroom and beat him to death.

In another fine example of irony, the Freemans were co-owners of a company that does background checks for apartment rental and job applicants.

"From time to time, you come across a case with very unique — even bizarre — circumstances," police spokesman Don Aaron said. "This one probably rates right up there with them."
