The world is well aware that America is fiscally mismanaged. What it may not have known... hell, yes, they knew it before we did, is that America is fiscally stupid.
The National Weather Service, which helps keeps citizens informed of handy things like tornadoes, is so grossly underfunded they may no lnger be able to do their jobs.

From what I've read, the pay at NWS is far below national average. To make the real bucks, one must get a boob job and move to L.A.
