Voices in Head Lead to Nail in Head

37-year-old Yuri Dedov, at the behest of the voices in his head, took a hammer and drove a 122-millimeter nail into his forehead. Down to the nailhead.

Dedov'’s mother came home and discovered Yuri had a fever. Closer inspection of his cranium revealed the nail. She called for an ambulance.

Another Yuri, neurosurgeon Yuri Tanvel, said the nail had almost gone through Dedov's head and stopped near the eyeball. "If its trajectory had been 15 degrees different, he would have died immediately. As it is, no vital function was violated. The main thing is the nail did not reach the brain."

When looking at the photo, I'm not sure how that is possible but Yuri is a neurosurgeon so I'll go with him on this.

The nail must have gone around the brain tissue and only penetrated the areas where the voices reside. So it does look like he kill the imaginary people that lived in his brain. Is this still murder?

Very philosophical.

If the nail didn't pass through his brain, then where the hell is the brain, pray tell?
