I had a friend who used to leave his car unlocked all the time because there was nothing in it worth stealing and he didn't want to have to pay for a new window if someone decided they wanted to have a rummage around.
It was a horribly battered car, mind. I'd imagine a new window would probably cost more than the car itself.

Also ironic that the window that had to be replaced cost more than the CD player. Stupid pain in the ass crack heads.
