"We think they were attracted by the flashing lights and ring tones," said Jo Cook, a London Zoo mammal expert in reference to an ongoing problem.
The zoo's squirrel monkeys seem to have taken a liking to visitor's cell phones. They grab them and are disinclined to giving them back, even when asked politely.
In a brainstorm bourne of desperation and condiments, keepers have dressed as visitors (one hesitates to ask what this entails) and armed themselves with cell phones smeared with hot mustard.
I know I wait with breathless anticipation for this experiments results.

Squirrel monkeys are a menace. A cute menace, but still the devil's children.
I could tell you monkey stories that would curl your hair.
